Who we work with

Community Partnerships for Health and Equity

Boys and Girls Club of Newark (Community Partner)

Our programs are designed with a deep understanding of the daily realities faced by our members. Despite significant progress in Newark with increased preschool enrollments, higher high school graduation rates, and reduced juvenile arrests, challenges remain. Persistent poverty affects nearly three-quarters of Newark's children, who live in families struggling to afford basic necessities like rent, food, and quality childcare. We offer a safe haven where children and their families receive the essential support needed to thrive amid uncertainty.

HOPE Clinic (Community Partner)

The Rutgers University School of Health Professions is launching a free primary care clinic in Plainfield. Upholding a legacy of culturally competent and compassionate care, the Physician Assistant Program faculty and students will provide management for acute and chronic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension, to the uninsured in the community.

Rutgers - Division of Inclusion and Community Engagement, and IDEA Grant (Community Partner)

The IDEA innovation grants aim to empower students, faculty, and staff across Rutgers University to actively contribute to building an inclusive community. As we enhance broader institutional efforts to advance equity, the IDEA grant program supports innovative grassroots initiatives that align with our larger strategy. We seek projects that foster understanding and learning, promote relationship-building across differences, and introduce new methods to advance equity and diversity, ultimately striving for an inclusive university culture.

Rutgers - School of Public Health(Community Partner)

Established in 1983 as part of the former UMDNJ, the Rutgers School of Public Health operates from locations in Newark and New Brunswick, offering hybrid and remote course options.
